Our annual Christmas concert was well attended despite storm Darragh doing its best to try and scupper things.  Unfortunately, Cowbridge Male Voice Choir was unable to join us, but we managed to find a few extra songs to sing!

During the evening we had a special task; to deliver a very special gift to a couple who were celebrating being married on that day, 50 years ago.  When Michael and Debra Manley’s daughter contacted us to say the family were bringing them to the concert as part of the Golden anniversary celebrations we jumped at the chance to make the evening just a little bit special for them.  We reserved them near front row seats and, on behalf of the choir, presented the celebrating couple with a bottle of bubbles. Choir treasurer Sally also presented them, on behalf of their family, with a commemorative 50th Anniversary copy of their marriage certificate.

We are delighted to say that we have been able to donate £400 to the Mayor at Newport City Council Charities fund which are Sparkle and Severn Area Rescue Association, and an amazing £400 to St Mark's, Newport funds.
This was all donated by our wonderful audience and topped up by both Allegra and Cowbridge Male Voice Choir / Cor Meibion Y Bontfaen.
